Director IT Security

We are seeking an IT Security Director for a role which can be based either in Dallas, TX or Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for IT security and GRC activities, across a global corporation. The main responsibility of this role is to create and maintain global a GRC program. This role reports or our global CISO. 


  • Develop and manage IT compliance/risk assessment framework and any associated risks 
  • Inspire team and leadership to better understand and manage risk
  • Improve regulatory compliance 
  • Implement appropriate security technology 
  • Manage all internal audit and compliance 
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring new team members 
  • Assist in the planning of security related to business goals and risk mitigation activities 
  • Review, select and manage vendors 
  • Parter with other departments and teams to ensure security/privacy controls are within the risk management framework and meet all corporate wide requirements 
  • Work with stakeholders to create corporate wide security awareness program
  • Develop standard security policies and best practices 
  • Plan all GRC related requirements



  • Must have demonstrable experience in Risk management and governance, including working with Risk Management frameworks in similar capacity
  • BS Degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ideal experience in a data center or heavily regulated corporation like healthcare, finance or software development within these spaces
  • 7+ years of related experience 
  • 3+ years of leadership 
  • Must have track record of setting up information security policies and guidelines 
  • Broad expertise in a variety of security areas 
  • Strong technical background 
  • Experience managing projects with diverse and cross-functional teams 
  • Expertise with security industry standards (ISO/NIST/PCI)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite 
  • Experience developing Enterprise Risk Management 
  • Relevant IT certifications ie CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CEH, or related
