We are seeking and IT Operations Manager/Director for a client in Coral Springs, FL. In this role, you will be managing a small team and will act as a hands-on leader. You will also be responsible for the company's infrastructure and security strategy, ensuring chosen vendors are scalable and cost-effective. This is a hands-on Manager/Director role. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead in the following areas: Network, Security, NOC, Systems Engineering, Help Desk/Support
  • 24/7 support of IT systems 
  • Monitor and manage all system and network performance 
  • Manage all infrastructure including data centers
  • Design/deploy telecomm wiring for locations
  • Design/deploy Exchange, Active Directory, POS and other systems to locations
  • Design/deploy all security infrastructure for all locations 
  • Ensures compliance with vendor licensing
  • POC for telecom providers
  • Ensure vendors are meeting their contract requirements
  • Act as tier 2 + 3 support for any issues outside of the expertise of team
  • Manage system admins including providing training and assistance for any complicated issues
  • Manage team of Technical Support Engineers and act as top-tier support 
  • Manage entire IT environment including Citrix, VMWare, Hardware, VOIP, etc
  • Understand our business to better improve business strategies, infrastructure, and technology 
  • Design disaster recovery plan
  • Lead operational planning
  • Create and manage maintenance schedules 
  • Write and implement polices and procedures 
  • Manage deployment/monitoring/maintenance/upgrade of all locations and systems
  • Create RFP's and bids for projects
  • Negotiate with vendors 
  • Approve purchases
  • Make recommendations for environment upgrades
  • Work with IT leadership to improve organization 
  • Provide leadership including performance reviews and hiring of new staff
  • Oversee Help Desk/Support Services Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

 

 

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of IT with 5+ in leadership
  • BS Degree
  • Experience managing others
  • Experience managing IT operations for multi-location/global environments
  • Experience with Citrix XenDesktop and VDI
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Experience with Nutanix
  • On-call support as needed 
  • Advanced hardware troubleshooting 
  • Experience with SLAs 
  • Experience managing IT assets including inventory and documentation
  • Experience in 24/7 environments 
  • Strong communication 
  • Strong leadership experience 
  • Data center/co-location experience 
  • Experience with VOIP phones
