Overview

We are seeking a Software/Solutions Architect for a role in either the Boca Raton, Florida area or for 100% telecommute. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leader in the healthcare space meeting customer expectations, delivering defect-free software, and setting architectural best practices.  The ideal candidate willing collaborate with development teams in understanding product offerings from a technical perspective and ensuring implementation of new features aligns with long-term objectives and future system designs.  Leadership experience is required.

 

*Must have MQMessaging queue experience such as RabbitMQ, SQS, ZeroMQ, etc*

Responsibilities

  • Drive to solve problems and get work done speedily
  • Excellent, detailed communicating according to technical, business, and customer needs
  • Will readily make decisions even under pressure or with imperfect information
  • Helps development teams avoid reinventing the wheel by exposing information about the technology we have, what other teams are doing, history, design goals, etc
  • Collaborates in feature planning to help discuss and discover options and designs to avoid common mistakes and software development pitfalls
  • Finds and writes reference examples of code that is clear, maintainable, and adheres to company format and design standards
  • Develops close and friendly working relationships with development team leads, scrum masters, product owners, and individual developers across multiple teams
  • Consults with team leads and other architects on particularly difficult technical problems

Qualifications

  • 4 – 12 years’ experience architecting small to large client facing apps
  • Experience with SOA, MQMessage and scripting languages such as PHP, Python Ruby or Perl
  • Experience with website technologies
  • Proficient in relational database, db concepts and SQL
  • Unix/Linux and Windows Environments
  • Strong understanding of object oriented principles and design
  • Clustered or distributed computing experience is a major plus
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting technologies
  • Experience with multiple types of data stores such as relational database, NoSQL/Object-Stores, data warehousing, distributed databases, etc.
  • Healthcare, pharma, or financial services sectors regulatory and compliance experience and knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with all levels of staff, hospital and pharmacy clients
  • Leadership, management and supervisory skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimum/no supervision
  • Willingness to be a teamplayer cooperating in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related experiences
