We’re seeking an IT Operations Manager for a position in North Carolina. This role will provide leadership for IT operations including supporting leadership's vision, developing/updating IT policies, hiring IT support/resources, managing staff and contractors, resolving IT issues, etc. This is a technical role requiring experience in development and data analysis. 


This is a full-time position reporting to a non-profit board. 




  • Implement information management policy and procedure 
    • Coordinate software development and infrastructure support projects 
    • Develop and manage service contracts 
    • Oversee daily system operations and resolve data issues reported 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technology related issues 
    • Ongoing communication related to system down time or other interruptions to member services. 
    • Design, develop and provide management reports
  • Advise on computer related matters. 
    • Oversee staff development and training 




  • Bachelor’s degree in information management or related field; relevant experience may be substituted for the educational requirement 
  • Experience and understanding of information technology is required
  • Experience in project management is required 
  • Experience website design and technical writing is desirable 
  • Experience in working with a relational database (Oracle preferred, but any RD will be sufficient) 
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of Crystal Reports, SQL and an interactive database front-end tool such as Toad or SQLPlus 
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of high level business tools such, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, C#. net etc. is necessary 
  • Experience in agile development including issue tracking/reporting and source code control
  • Strong communications skills both written and orally
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize many competing demands. 
  • Experience with a Non-Profit Board of Directors is preferred.
