Overview

Important: this role requires specific experience with the sales of BI/Data Analytics software and services combined.  Ideal candidate will have a technical background during early career and will have transitioned into a successful sales career later in career.

 

This role’s focus is to lead the growth and strategic plans for our client’s BI product line. The right candidate will be an integral part of the client’s talented team, leading their continued growth. This position will be located in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead Sales team to maximize sales revenue & meet corporate objectives
  • Lead a team of 19 with 5 direct reports
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly & monthly revenue streams
  • Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth
  • Assist sales reps during the final discussions of major solutions account sales and sales price and discount negotiations
  • Establish & manage necessary training programs to address sales growth
  • Continuously adjust proactive competitive strategies
  • Work with marketing on targeted sales campaigns
  • Direct professional account management activities, providing quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity
  • Coordinate proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable solution sales.
  • Develop and manage high level relationships with key customers.
  • Develop and recruit a high performance sales team
  • Develop strategies and plans which identify new customer acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • BI/Data Analytics products and services sales experience (both technical background and sales leadership success)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing
  • 10+ years’ experience in software sales
  • 5+ years’ experience with direct management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50 %, both domestically and internationally
  • Proven experience in sales team development and organizational change
  • Ability to lead and manage in a matrix organization/structure

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: Masters or MBA Previous knowledge and strong network of contacts
